Over Baltimore
Sinds de herontwikkeling van de Inner Harbor eind jaren 70, heeft Baltimore de standaard gezet voor stedelijke vernieuwing. Een groot deel van de attracties bevindt zich in het leuke havengebied, waar straatartiesten optreden en openluchtconcerten en parades worden gehouden. In de omringende wijken vind je allerlei interessante bezienswaardigheden, unieke winkels en heerlijke restaurants. Slenter door Fells Point, het oudste deel van Baltimore, dat doet denken aan een oud Engels dorpje, compleet met pubs en geplaveide straten. Ga met de kinderen naar het aquarium en bekijk de creaties in het Americal Visionary Art Museum. Of ga langs bij het Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum voor een duik in het leven van de 'Great Bambino'. Baltimore is ook bekend vanwege de Afro-Amerikaanse culturele bezienswaardigheden en vanwege de festivals en culturele evenementen die het hele jaar door plaatsvinden. Van historische plekken en rondvaarten door de haven tot gezinsvriendelijke attracties en fantastische wijken, Charm City is een van de grootste toeristische attracties in de Verenigde Staten.
