We specifically booked a one night stay for our family of four in order for our two young children to enjoy the pool. They were so excited. We were not traveling - this hotel is a half hour away from our home. In consideration of Covid concerns we called the hotel the morning of our arrival day to see if we could check-in earlier than 3pm. The person we spoke to on the phone advised us that they could likely accommodate us at 2pm and offered us a few time slot options that the pool was available. We packed up and piled into the car. Ran a few quick errands and when we were ready to head to the hotel we again called to verify that a 2pm check in would be accommodated, and we got Brandon, the front desk manager. He informed us that no we could not check in before 3pm and THAT THERE WAS NO AVAILABILITY FOR THE POOL and that the hotel was at capacity. Needless to say we were incredulous. We decided to drive over there anyway thinking we could get better service in person and perhaps figure out a way to at least schedule a swim session for the following day. We went into the hotel lobby (it was literally empty other than two staff members) and attempted to discuss our dissatisfaction with the situation as we specifically called to address these issues in advance. The pool is in clear view from the lobby and was empty for the entire hour we spent in the lobby. Not a single guest checked in during this time either, but Brandon made sure to tell us just how busy he was (we did notice that he had a pizza delivered for himself during this time). Between desperate calls to Marriott, we continued to plead with the manager and instead of trying to accommodate us in any way, Brandon pushed our check in time even LATER eventually telling us it might be four or five before our room would be available. At one point he shared with us that there was actually one time slot available the following day for the pool but then smugly pointed out it was “at 2pm, after checkout.” What a sociopath! Needless to say we did not stay as we had planned. Be forewarned if you plan to stay here with any expectations! The service is absolutely horrendous!…
I recently had to go to NY to check on my 85 year old mother. The great customer service started 2 days before I even checked in. I sent a message requesting an upgrade and was immediately awarded an upgrade. I then requested extra items be placed in my room. When I checked in the gentleman at the front door greeted me like I was a visiting dignitary and informed everyone that the items I requested had be placed in my room. He then explained to me the extra precautions in place due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. My room was beautiful and it’s the 1st time I’ve stayed at an Element Property but it is one of the most Planet Friendly Hotels I have ever stayed in. I will stay at Element Property’s during my future visits
Brand new hotel with very comfortable studio suites. I felt like I had rented an apartment for the weekend rather than a hotel room; everything worked great. Many restaurants and stores nearby (the hotel is within walking distance of a Target). Very friendly staff too!
Bright, cheerful, stylish and above all extremely friendly. We found ourselves wishing we could stay longer. Rooms are very well designed and bed linens are of high quality. Bathroom is bright and spacious. While the shower gel and shampoo may not have been the highest quality, I applaud the hotel for not needlessly wasting plastic bottles. The time for the stove? It took us about twenty seconds to figure that one out. TV worked fine throughout our stay. Hot water did take a few minutes, but the front desk told us they are working on it. Criticisms? Difficult to conjure up any, though I wondered why only one elevator was in service when the hotel was full. The best asset of this hotel is the staff. Their attitude was of true pride. Last but not least the hotel is pet friendly and unlike many hotels, the cost to do this is reasonable and with no idiotic rules.…
I will gladly changed this to 5 out of 5, once this hotel works out all their kinks, having only been open for less than a month now. The hotel is perfectly located by multiple major highways (noise was never an issue), several restaurants and shopping centers (yes, that's plural), and most importantly, a 40 second walk to Target which has a Starbucks inside it. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful, as are the rooms. The full kitchen (minus a oven) came in very handy. Although be warned, to use an electric stove, you must first set the timer. The pool is in a glass enclosed area so during the day you get plenty of sunlight, giving you the feeling that you are swimming outdoors. The 24 hour complimentary coffee/espresso machine was very much appreciated. The bedding was incredibly comfortable and I slept very well. I am a fairly light sleeper and I did not hear any noise nor did any sunlight shine through into my room in the morning. However, being such a new hotel, there were several major issues that I hope are rectified soon. 1. The shower at its hottest setting was room temperature at best. 2. Every time I flushed the toilet, water would spray out of the back. 3. The TV was not picking up a signal for the first half of the day I was there, but came back on later that night. (the TVs were beautiful, well placed, and my FireStick worked without any problems). 4. They do not give you individual toiletries. They have two large dispensers mounted on the wall, one for a shampoo/conditioner combination liquid grossness and the other a body wash. This hotel did not keep in mind that some people like ONLY shampoo and others like ONLY conditioner. 5. The in-room phone was broken. Regardless of what department I tried to reach, I would get a busy signal, so I had to call the front desk with my cell phone. 6.…
