Lugar de beleznatural incomparável ! Lindo lago , linda vista . É um acampamento porisso não espere luxo, tudo muito rústico ! Comida boa saborosa e pessoal educado e atencioso .
We stayed in the upper suite. It was spacious and clean with good amenities. The kitchen has a microwave and electric hob but no oven. It is well stocked with cutlery, crockery and utensils with a big fridge. The bathroom is fine with a hot shower. The bedroom had a double bed and two singles and is plenty warm enough. It also has an electric blanket! There is a general store just up the road. The location is good- just a few minutes drive from the south entrance of yosemite but remember it is still a good hour's drive to the valley on very winding roads. Mariposa grove is only a couple if miles from the south entrance so only takes ten minutes or so. It is expensive at $150/night but similar price to much more basic accomodation within the park. I would reccommend Sugar Pine but it would be better value if a whole group was sharing both suites.…
Sugar Pine Cabin is a nice, clean cabin located just outside of the entrance to Yosemite on Hwy 41. It is a very short drive to the Mariposa Grove inside the park but about an hour to either Glacier Point or the Valley. If you plan on making multiple trips into the park, the drive could get tedious and you might want to consider staying in the park or in West Yosemite, Foresta or El Portal (other residential areas somewhat closer in). We stayed in the "downstairs" part of the cabin (2 adults, 3 kids) and there was plenty of space. The cabin has a full kitchen (no dishwasher) and one bath (shower only). The place was spotless when we arrived. The upsatirs was rented the entire time and caused no particular inconvenience. You can occassionally hear your upstairs neighbors walking around. They have a separate entrance at the back of the cabin and so privacy is not an issue. The cabin is a short walk from a creek that our kids enjoyed one afternoon maybe more than Yosemite. Although you face Hwy 41, road noise was never an issue. The bedrooms are functional and the cabin has satellite TV for a day off from the park. Reserving the cabin was done easily over the internet with no issues or complications.…
We rented the top half of this unit. (You can either rent the whole thing, or just the top.) It was our (two adult hikers) base of operations for 5 days in Yosemite. Overall, it was everything I wanted: affordable, less than an hour to Yosemite Valley, and it had a kitchen. Also - no cleaning fee! Location It is literally 5 minutes outside the south entrance in a development of other cabins. It is a 50 minute drive to Yosemite Valley, a 5 minute drive to the Mariposa parking lot, and maybe a 45 minute drive to Glacier Point. (Yes, it was 3 hours to Toulumne.) I have driven at night in Yosemite in previous years, towards the west entrance, and it was terrifying. Driving at night to the south entrance (Fish Camp) was not at all. I did not find the length of the drive unpleasant, and there is a gas station and a Wawona convenience store on the way. Affordable: We paid less than we would have paid for a Redwood Cabin inside the park. Those cabins buy you maybe 15 minutes by being closer. Sugar Pine Cabin's top half cost us $600 for 4 days (plus tax). It had 3 beds. There was no cleaning fee, compared to $75 in fees at most other cabins in the park. Kitchen: The kitchen had an electric range top, double sink, fridge/freezer, and microwave. There is no oven. There were some pots and pans, silverware, and some tupperware, but not a lot. We made due. There is also a bbq with coal provided. It had a few little things like sugar packets and whatnot for coffee, but assume you will need to buy everything -- soy sauce, condiments, cooking oil, etc. As an aside, we bought groceries at Vans in Oakhurst, but amazingly, things seemed to be cheaper at the Village store in Yosemite. Other comments The shower is tiny, and the table in the kitchen area makes things a little cramped. You don't get an isolated-in-nature feel because there are other cabins right next to you. There's not really a wide open sky because of the trees, though there's a pond and clearing at the end of the street. You can hear the cries of birds of prey at night, smell the pine, and watch hummingbirds outside your door. It is VERY quiet. The post office is a 3 minute walk away. Cell phones do NOT get reception in the cabin! In fact, the only place I got any was when I accidentally wandered by the at&t control building in the valley. Your GPS will function and get you to the cabin, though. I would stay here again.…
