Newly opened, with a lot of spit and polish. Clearly all the hardware is very fancy. What is missing is adequate attention to the software. The staff is very helpful and eager to learn but the overall management attention seems to be weak. This shows up in the general upkeep - floor cleaner leaves stains, door knobs are coming loose, the slope in bathrooms needs to be checked to ensure proper drainage, bathroom exhausts need to be more effective, toilet paper rolls must be replenished regularly. It’s just been 4 months. If these things are not looked at by an expert in hospitality, in a year or so, the hotel will start to feel worn out. The location is fantastic if you want to explore Fontainhas on foot. Ask for a 3rd floor room. Otherwise you’ll be looking into the lodge next door.…
