A little pricey for a tent and very basic accommodation. Guess it’s due to the lack of budget accommodation in Koh Ngai. Does not cater to solo travelers. Still have to pay for the entire tent that fits 2. Otherwise it’s ok. Very chill place with lots of deck chairs and bamboo platforms for chilling out. On site facilities include travel desk, small shop that sells all necessities, a snack bar and even a 24 hours doctor next door.
We knew that the standard at the camping would be basic, but it was nevertheless a disappointment. We had tents right at the back, next to the neighbouring hotel's noisy generator and kitchen. The outdoor showers were nice, but the toilets horrible - dirty, cockroaches, no soap, and not enough of them. The mattresses in the tent were covered in plastic - probably practical but not very nice to sleep on. Breakfast was very poor. Lunch was quite good, but shakes far too sweet. The location is good, in the middle of the beach, but due to all the noise from generators etc the camping did not have the peaceful atmosphere we expected on this small island.
This resort made you feel like you were on a secluded island in Thailand. The beachfront tent were beautiful, and the ocean was only steps away. Helpful staff. Lovely beach and lots of wild life. Good accomadation clean tidy. The beach front area was lovely with plenty of chairs in the shade. The food was excellent with a mixture of fresh seafood.
