Not much positive here and certainly very poor value for £80, room only. Surly reception from the landlady. Found hairs in bed and couldn't find the advertised wi-fi. On reporting this I was assured that bedding had been changed and that I should be able to find the wi-fi. No- offer to came to the room to investigate. Room very small , decent shower room. Only toiletry was hand wash. No reading lamp, just a powerful ceiling light. Desk in room, but no chair ( a bedside table under the desk). TV OK. Seemed lots of sachets for hot drink, but all tea, milk and sugar but no coffee ( as previous review!). Very disappointing stay.
Lovely rooms out the back of the pub. Easy access to the side. Not far from town. Nice open garden to look out on. Clean room and ensuite, television and tea/ coffee making facilities. Would definatley stay again.
Check in is a little confusing as there are no signs so you just have to venture to the bar and ask. Really nice accommodation in a private garden at the rear of the pub. There are only a few of these and they share a really nice private seating area, perfect for outside dining. The room was presented nicely, if a little unfinished, but was a bit small. I had to iron my shirt sat on the bed as there just wasn't enough room to stand and do this. There was a desk in the room, but no chair. I assume this was as there isn't enough room. The only other downside of the room, I got up early in the morning and out the kettle on to then discover there was no coffee, so I decided to have tea, then noticed there was no sugars. No worries, I'll go without...but then, no cups! Disappointed to find there was no food being served and everyone I asked for anything I felt like I was interrupting a party there. A little attention to these small details would give a higher rating. …
