Dear Roy T, We would have thanked You for the time dedicated and for being our precious guest, but sadly we cannot do it for the simple reason that You have never been our guest, You have never stayed in our Eight Hotel Portofino,You have never experienced our Eight Hotel Portofino. Twice Your review has been removed from our page, although You still insist, unfortunately respectless neither for the hard work of all the staff of our Hotel, nor for all the community of Tripadvisor who consult the reviews hoping to find a reflection of the real experiences. However, we totally agree with You that no adjustment of Your bill will be done...simply because You do not have a bill issued from our Eight Hotel Portofino. Dear Guest, we are really sorry your guest had to experience this water shortage, as we tried to explain in several occasions the all town was affected, someone managed to recover the water supply before of us, our Hotel it is located above the town and the lack of water pressure caused shortage of water upon the highest floors, the all problem was caused by the main water suppliers (IDROTIGULLIO) who had a major problem issue which caused them to close the water supply in order to address the repair works, once finished they advice us that it would have taken hours before recovering a normal water pressure. We tried our best to assist all our guests during this hours, we have been very accomodating and apologetic for the inconvenience which was out of our control. Hereby I leave you the contact number of IDROTIGULLIO and the TICKET Number to which you could refer should you still think the Hotel Manager tried to hide some Hotel issues. We are really sorry to read your comment and wish to renew our offer to contact us directly should the guest decide to return and rehinstate their trust in us, I am sure we could find the right discount amount which could please them to return. In regard to the Hotel pre-paid rate, it is convenient as it has a good discont compared to our publish rate, it does remain a good optio to the guests who desire to spend their money differently. Can I ask you for help regarding flying into south of france Nice airport how long would the journey take on a coach ? and how long on a train ?
At that price why don’t you offer a bottle of water a day ( it costs 1 euro) and a coffee machine. When you pay over 800 euros, you can expect that from a so called luxurious hotel. This is what I call hospitality.
Does the hotel owns a private beach?

Esiste una piscina? O un posto dove prendere il sole?
No ci sono piscine esterne, né spiagge nelle vicinanze. Tuttavia sono gemellati con un altro albergo sulla strada per santa margherita, sempre della loro catena che dispone della spiaggia privata, E' consigliata ala prenotazione. Spero di essere stata utile.
