This is a trail that passes through a number of different habitats and provides some good views over lake Yellowstone. While not the most picturesque trail in the park it is very nice.

Обязательно нужно по максимуму изведать все маршруты и тропы для хайкинга после плотных ланчей и обедов))) Отличные фото, прекрасная природа

This short trail takes you to the shores of Yellowstone Lake. The best part is when you reach the beach, where you can enjoy some very nice views of mountains beyond the Lake as you walk across the sand. While it's nothing spectacular, it's a short, rewarding hike which isn't very crowded at all.

walked this trail in august and the weather was great, its only short but defiantly worth a stop, great short trial for children, it was very scenic looking over the lake and great for photos the sandy beach was very pretty and the group of pelicans could easily be seen form the beach, we really enjoyed it not many people around and very peaceful, our young daughter really enjoyed it.

This trail is one of the recommended trails by the Park rangers. The trail is about a mile east of Fishing Bridge Visitor Center. It's short (about 1 ml) and easy, through woods and takes you by a sandy beach with great views of the lake. It's supposed to be a great place for catching a glimpse of pelicans, geese, herons, ospreys and bald eagles but we didn't see any -- it could be the weather (overcast), time of day (late afternoon) and time of year (early September). We did not see anyone else on the hike. Although no bear activity was mentioned on the Day hike sheet, there is a sign up at the trail head warning that we are entering bear country. We did carry bear spray and made a lot of noise during the hike. I would have given it a 5 star if the weather was better and we saw some birds.
