We stopped here as we were passing by and spend some time. We enjoyed the cool breeze and relaxed. Not much crowded at all. Nice place for a quiet picnic. There is paid parking available.

A paved path for both pedestrians and bikes runs the length of probably a mile or so, along the way are fire pits, covered picnic tables, loads of grass and birds, views of turtles from the rocks above (they like to eat the moss on the rocks), and the ancient Chinese (we think) cemetery wherein lie the remains of the early laborers. The writing on the markers appears to be Chinese.
Reach this lovely little park by passing the Hyatt, crossing the small bridge over the creek, and continuing along past the Canoe Club. There is a lifeguard station, several shower and restroom facilities along the way here, as well as a pretty active beach scene. This has regularly been one of our favorite walks when we do decide to hoof it into Lahaina (rather than take the bus).
During our early December, 2021, visit, Mother Nature delivered a 100-year storm to Maui (and all the islands, eventually). Rain entered under doors, trees fell down, streets flooded, mountain-sides turned into waterfalls, beaches eroded (further) and shops ran aground. along our walk, we saw a boat being cut up and hauled away. This walk showed just a hint of the ill-effects.

On Kaanapali Beach just off the Honoapiilani Highway about two miles north of the town of Lahaina. Its more popular name is "Canoe Beach" because this is the home of the Lahaina Canoe Club and is the site of numerous outrigger canoe regalia. We walked here frequently to get ourselves oriented during the first week and to enjoy the scenery birds and the lush beautiful tropical trees. The thrill of seeing greenback turtles floating and swimming close to shore was an unforgettable lifetime experience. From a beach park perspective, this is one of the better ones and also is situated near a well maintained historical cemetery, which is in fact quite interesting and peaceful.

We came here for an early morning snorkel because we had done Kapalua, Honolua, and Black Rock the previous three mornings. We wanted to try something new. A south swell was beginning to churn up some waves so we were unsure about safety getting in and out of the water. It was nice to have a lifeguard there to talk to about this. He saw we were experienced snorkelers and showed us where to safely enter the water and where to find the coral (go to the left) and where to exit the water again. I am so glad we persevered because we saw so many turtles! We even saw turtles interacting with each other. We kept popping our heads above water to say “This is epic!” Highly recommend.

Parking was easy, and there is a bathroom facility with an outdoor shower. Snorkel in front of the lifeguard tower. We saw turtles while snorkeling, as well as some fish. Large shady area.

Excellent Snorkeling! This beach is also called Canoe Beach. There is a large sandy area for swimming and to the left of the beach (if you are looking at the ocean), are rocks where turtles sun and swim. There is also a lifeguard there which is wonderful, given all the shark attacks this year at this part of the island. There are bathrooms, so you can change your clothes. Lots of parking nearby. We found shade too, however, be warned to ALWAYS wear shoes if you are on or near the lawn. The trees drop small branches with large thorns. Unfortunately, two of us stepped on these thorns before finding out. The beach itself isn't the best, but the snorkeling is amazing!! We saw Butterfly fish, Moorish Idol fish, Green Sea Turtles, Eels, Yellow Tang, Trumpet fish, just to name a few!

Quite a bit of parking - we found a spot right away. Plenty of room to practice social distancing. Sand, surf, great ocean views. Swings, etc. for kids. Clean-ish public restrooms, especially for a park. Close to stores; within walking distance.

There's free parking available and we walked over to the front of the mega hotels to sun bathe. The only drawback is the coral and rocks in the water which makes it difficult to enjoy. While hanging out on the sand we continually witnessed turtles in the water swimming by, at least they enjoyed a swim.

Our family group of six adults and two children drove up here from Kihei on a Sunday morning, expecting it to be rather congested, and were pleasantly surprised that we practically had the beach to ourselves. There is easy access from the highway, with lots of parking, the beach has lots of space with a nicely shaded grassy area, lots of picnic shelters and BBQ’s, lifeguards, washrooms and a beach shower. Snorkelling was good, the beach was sheltered from most of the waves, and, if you like, the waterline is firm sand and you can walk onto the adjacent Kaanapali Beach for as far as you might care to walk.

Walked here from Kaanapali Beach walk. Nice stroll saw many turtles in the water and catching some rays on the rocks. This is a god morning walk on beach with great scenery.
