Just played the course. It is in fabulous condition and although it seems on paper a short course it is very challenging and would recommend you play it when in the area.

As resident of Inverness and member of a club I only occasionally visit other semi local clubs and have not been at Strathpeffer Golf club in 20 years until last week.
It certainly was a beautiful sunny day and just a slight breeze to keep any insects away. We were made most welcome at the clubhouse and had coffee and a bacon roll.
The course was in excellent condition and very well maintained. After the first many fairways are quite narrow so accuracy is much more important than distance. Do not be put off by only 5000+ yards and numerous par 3 holes. The greens like the rest of the course were well kept but all are crown or sloping, so very challenging.
On return an excellent lunch completed a great day out.
Unless you are seriously fit and a very accurate player take a buggy and a few spare balls.

Great golf course with amazing views. It was in great condition and well looked after. The welcome from the staff and the ongoing service was excellent as was the food before and after our round. Don't let the scorecard fool you this is not an easy course to play. A lot of quirky par 3's but thats what makes it.

A great day out with the Clachnaharry Inn Golf Club at The Strath. The course was in great condition and the hospitality and catering was fabulous. It is indeed a hidden gem! Go there you will love it.

Der Pflegezustand dieses Platzes ist außergewöhnlich und auch wenn das Greenfee anscheinend preislich angezogen hat, ist es trotzdem wert diesen Platz zu spielen .
Spieldauer etwa 3 Stunden, leider viele blinde Löcher und auch kaum Bunker und Wasser.
Der Platz ist relativ kurz, aber wer in der Nähe ist sollte sich eine Runde

Came across this place by chance, had a few drinks and enjoyed the spectacular views. Hospitality at the clubhouse was great. Wish we had time for a round the course looks stunning.

The 4617 yards off the yellow tees disguises the difficulty of parts of the course. 7 par 3s two of which are 210 yards plus. Par 65 SSS 63.
Enjoyed the round, primarily due to shooting nett SSS. Was advised by my father, who played the course some 30 years ago, not to waste a morning playing here but glad I ignored his advice as I enjoyed the experience and the fantastic views.
Although I had an enjoyable morning this is a very hilly course, I used a carry bag and would think a 'push/pull' trolley would make the walk more difficult. With so many other options for golf in the area would probably not return.
My advice would be it is different if you have a spare few hours give it a 'shot'.

Challenging course in pristine condition! Walked round in just over 3 hours, a good few tricky par 3's on the front 9. Great hospitality back at the clubhouse before heading out to Belladrum Music Festival.

Both in terms of hospitality ("we aim to please" was evident in every way!) and in terms of lay-out of the course (splendid views, challenging holes, excellent maintenance) Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club is a hidden jewel indeed! The chef is truly a professional, all the people I spoke to showed their unconditional commitment to the club, and one of their former captains accompanied me on my round, which made it not only an extremely enjoyable, but also memorable half a day of golf. This "grand dame" (laid out in 1888!) is such a pleasure for single-digit players and mid-handicappers alike. And remarkably, how come that all around Strathpeffer (from Chanonry Point to Loch Broom) it was raining for the larger part of the day, and we were playing in sunny weather? Rumour has it that this is not an unusual phenomenon.... I wholeheartedly recommend this golf course.
