Not worth the money you pay to get in all North America animals so no elephants, tigers, lions all the big animals you think of when you think zoo. Very small not a lot of exhibits

When the kids (or you!) are getting tired of the rides and attractions of Hershey Park this is a great place to visit for a change of scenery and pace. The animal exhibits are expertly maintained and it is very easy to get around. All you need is about 2 hours to see the entire zoo.
I highly recommend getting the zoo add-on tickets if you're visiting Hershey Park with your kids!

Big disappointment. Run down and boring. Small selection of animals. Many not viewable because of their enclosures. Would not recommend.

This is small for a "zoo" and could probably be done in about an hour. However, they had some interesting animals, like an ocelot, and some animals I didn't realize were American. You can get into this zoo free if you buy admission to Hersheypark.

This “zoo” is heartbreaking. The animal enclosures are so small. The animals looked sad. I don’t recommend this zoo and feel they should really consider rehoming the animals to a wildlife preservations. There is barely any room for them to roam and not very realistic for these animals. The deer looked stressed. I don’t go to zoos but my daughter wanted to see the wolves. I was under the impression that it was a preserve. Turned around and left. Just awful.

I'm not generally a fan of zoos, but understand their contribution to the animal kingdom. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with ZooAmerica in Hershey. It's overpriced for such a small zoo (you can get through it in under an hour). The enclosures seem rather small, which is heartbreaking. When we brought our grandchildren, there appeared to be a lot of animals not available for viewing.

I did a quick walk through when visiting Hersheypark. I liked the zoo, but as other people mentioned it is very small. It took me about 15 minutes to walk and see everything. It is a nice break from the Park and can be a good quiet activity when the park becomes too hectic.

This is a nice little zoo with a decent variety of North American animals. I enjoyed watching the wolves, seeing a few species of cats, and some cool snakes, owls, etc. The kids seemed to enjoy it. But it's really an hour or hour and a half visit. I have to say though like most Hershey-owned venues it seemed overpriced.

This zoo is for small children. That's certainly true.
But, what surprised me was the inability for the animals to roam around. These are not living spaces for animal life. Instead, they are large cages. Also, the props that are in these areas, sometimes even become comical (even having a fake human skeleton hanging out in a southwest setting).
I'm not a member of PETA or any other group. I love circuses. I love zoos. But, this facility is so small that these animals do not have the space to thrive.

If you’re looking for a small zoo that has some rescue animals this is for you. This was perfect for my husband and I. Small but very organized and the habitats seemed very appropriate. Some of the predatory birds were not accessible for their safety due to a disease affecting these birds. We really enjoyed our time here and we also were happy to hear that Milton Hershey started this zoo. He was an impressive man!

It is free with your Hershey park admission. I am not sure if they sell separate admission.

yes there is an area where you can eat a picnic lunch with tables. I t is a small zoo perfect for little ones and easy to get around. there are a couple of indoor areas and the rest is outdoors.

Is it realistic to do both the Park and Zoo the same day in July - we'll have two 5 year olds

Most people do the zoo the same day as the park because it's included with admission. It's a small zoo that takes an hour or so to complete.

Free parking is available at ZooAmerica. In the event our regular parking area becomes full, please use the Parking Garage at The Hershey Press Building which is also free.

How much time should we allow to see this zoo? Is it an easy walk?
We both use a cane (sometimes) and the small zoo is appealing.

Dear Mister B,
ZooAmerica is an 11 acre North American Wildlife Zoo. We recommend allowing at least an hour to enjoy all of the exhibits. The zoo is completely accessible, however there are hills. We have resting areas and benches throughout the zoo.

Is the zoo out doors? Or in doors? I see a lot of people who visited during the winter, we have 2 small children 9months and 2yrs old as well as 3 older children. Would we need to come bundled up in hats scarves mittens...or is some of it enclosed?

Good morning got one question if the park is closed where you park to go to just the zoo look at all things about parking and just seen the big are at the beginning of the park thank you for your time have a HERSHEY PARK HAPPY DAY.

The parking lot for the zoo is on route 743. If leaving the park turn right and go to the light beside Lighting Racer. If you pass the Red Robin you've gone to far. Go down that road until you see the sign for the parking lot, if you pass the old factory site you've gone to far.

Also if you get season pass its free on your visits but get the season passes early for ok discounts...also it's a nice small zoo not much animals so it only takes like an hour to see the zoo so spend the whole day at the park so you can do everything and its totally worth it in the summer months only!
