The directional signage on the Duffin's trails is very minimal and there are a lot of off shoot trails that one could easily mistake as the main trail. Last weekend we got lost in the thick forest and bushes following one of these trails. The bridge that was supposed to be available to cross over the river is no longer there. Also, finding an accurate and easy to read map of this trail is impossible to find. This could be very dangerous for young kinds or anyone who is not familiar with this trail. More directional signage needed on the Duffin's trail please!

Please carry a walking stick when hiking in the dogs on leash area of this beautiful heavily treed area. Only 2 out of 80 dogs were actually on leashes. Being a dog lover I was shocked at how well mannered and well behaved every single animal was. It was a sincere pleasure to be on the trails where I felt the Dogs would Deter any Coyotes that may also be hiding in the thick brush.

Finally got to hike in my own backyard. I was pleasantly surprised with the different level of hiking trails here. There are several different trails, but they dont all connect. You need to take a trail to a pavillion, or walk on a road to find a trail entrance.
Once at the larger trail there was some challenging areas on the trail. There is also a very daunting set of steps to get back up to the top of a hill.
While on this particular trail there were several "off shots" on the trail. You cant get lost, but its not really on the proper trail. I wish there was better markings and directions. They also need to have a better trail map. Would be very helpful.
There is lots of trails, and places to have picnic's. You could easily spend a whole day here.

For over 10 years my family and me go here often for a nice hike, to see what we can find! This was the first year ever that I ever found Morel mushrooms here!! We love going along the trail below that follows Duffin's creek. It is nice having a conservation park that has beautiful scenery that is a mix of fields and coniferous forests. Having bathrooms is an added bonus! The newer play ground is nice and safe for all ages. Suggestion, always bring water and bug spray.

I love this place it is great for every one. Great place to hike, relax, play, the list goes on. So close to the city, feels like the country!

Greenwood Conservation Area is a great spot for families to go for a picnic, take a hike on the well groomed trails and enjoy getting up close to nature

This hiking park is excellent, nice views to see, trails are easy to walk on for the young and old.
How ever, trails are not marked with directions. It would be nice if the markers had colors on them so you know what trail you are on, or at least signage to point to the exit.
Waste baskets along the trail would be great for those dog walkers that do pick up their dogs waste, then leave the bag on the side of the trail.
Dogs are supposed to be leashed while on the trails, except in the leash free area. This rule is not enforced, most dogs were off leash.

Very disappointed visit. The Town of Ajax took over this Conservation Area some years ago, i can only assume that the maintenance is now their responsibility, the main access road is a disgrace potholes and lack of maintenance make the road access a hazard for vehicles. Grass cutting and general appearance of the Conservation Area are not up to the former Conservation Area standards, overall, i would recomend that visitors seek other locations for recreation.

It’s been around since I was a young child 1960’s or earlier. I walk my dog there through the river beds where there are deeper pockets for dog to swim. They love it. People let their dogs off leash but we ask everyone to make sure you pick up :)

we have seen dogs in the conservation area, but have not seen any signs saying no dogs, most probably they must be on a leash as there are a lot of people, we have seen dogs off leash way back in the woods areas away from the playing fields and bbq places
