Tubing at Keystone was a fun experience. The day was sunny but cold - around 10 degrees. That made the runs pretty fast.
You can tube solo or with up to 3 others all connected. I shot a video on 1 run and it only lasts about 20 seconds.
They have 5 different lanes but they are all about the same. Guides at the top will spin you if you want more variety.
After each run you take the magic fingers back to the top via a tunnel with music. Easy.
In 30 min we got 5 runs in while taking our time.
Staff were nice and the tubes are in good shape. The tubing hill is at the top of the mountain with great views.
They want you getting your gondola lift ticket 1 hour before your reservation time. The ride up the mountain takes mere minutes, so you have an hour to kill once you check in.
NOTE: The Summit House serves food and drink but won't let you in without proof of full COVID vaccination. Thats a laugh - we didn't run into this anywhere else in the rockies during our trip.

The pros are the hills are groomed, they send everyone down at once so you aren't worried about hitting anyone, and the magic carpet up the hill is enclosed to protect from wind/snow/sun. The cons were all the hills are the same so every ride down is the same. It helps if you ask the person controlling your ride to give you a little shove or a little spin to get you started.

We booked tubing to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, it was difficult to locate the check-in location (as many have noted). We waited in line only to be told that tubing was canceled. We received no notification in advance - no email, no call, no text. The customer service agent was rude, offered no apology and then said it wasn’t his department. He was as helpful as a hernia.
After leaving, we called to get a refund, only to have the line disconnected after waiting for 15minutes. We called back and received even more rude customer service! Fortunately, our money was refunded (unlike some of the other reviewers have noted).
Decent customer service seems difficult to find at the resorts lately. Very sad.

Absolutely terrible. Zero customer service. There was a multiple car accident on I-70 and a three hour delay in driving time. The resort would not refund or give us a different time. We paid $150 for three of us and were left with absolutely no other option other than to only tube for 5 minutes. For a massive resort that would take no loss for simply helping us reschedule, refusing to help is actually mind blowing. Don’t waste your money at this resort.

The tubing experience at Keystone was so fun! Our favorite part was that the tubing hill is at the top of the mountain. Get there early in case there are long lines to ride the gondola to the top. Also arrive early for your safety briefing to maximize your tubing time. The hills and tubes are well-maintained, and the covered magic carpet made for an enjoyable ride back up the hill.

That's it? Really? You pay $45, you slide/tube for 3 seconds, then wait 15 min., then repeat 3 to 4 times and you're done. The personnel are OK, the tubes and tracks are well-maintained, but the tubing itself is, well, null because the tracks are super short. Moreover, at least one track was closed. The place is advertised as the "Longest Snow Tubing Run In Colorado" but it is the shortest.
This tubing might be OK for toddlers but subpar for families with kids 5 years of age and older.
Pay less and tube more at Frisco Adventure Park (lanes are 1,200 Feet long).

We went to check in for our 4pm scheduled time, there was no one at the check in hut. Nobody seemed to be able to give us instructions on how to check in before we got on the gondola. By the time we got to the top of the mountain, we had 25 minutes to tube, which equated to 3 runs down the hill. Certainly was not worth the $45 per ticket that we paid. Also, we bought a pair of children's gloves from the warming hut. As soon as we zipped them up for the first time, the zipper broke. I returned them with the worker and he informed me that he would credit my credit card. This never happened. I have contacted Keystone several times and they finally told me that they were not crediting my credit card. Poor poor customer service.

We got into Keystone early afternoon and decided to do the tubing. We had our grandchildren (5 & 4) with us and we had a blast!! Even us older folks did good on this! They have someone who walks around and takes pictures while you are there and then you can view the and purchase when you leave. I would recommend getting all of the pics and they send them via email. I am so glad I did so I can look back over them!! SO MUCH FUN!!!

We had a great time here. The staff from check in to when we left were all awesome! Cami was so helpful and nice getting us in tubes and ready to go down lane. The guys who were on the conveyor belt were super helpful, nice and friendly!

Staff were kind and helpful but disappointing that most of our $45 hour per person was spent waiting at the top of the hill. We had a 6pm reservation and waited at the top of the hill until 6:25p for our first run.

We read that there is a smaller hill and smaller tube for my 4 year old not quite tall enough to go tubing. Can anyone confirm this? We hate for her to not get to participate.

We are visiting November 18-21st. I am wondering if tubing will be an option? Is there an official day that this hill opens or just depends on the snowfall?

I actually asked this question when I visited and was told it really depends on when they can start making snow. It seems that historically it opens about when you're there.
