Went to taste some local spirits. Some really great taste. My favorite was the lavender infused vodka. I had the vodka lemonade with the lavender vodka. It was delicious.
There is a great art museum attached to the distillery. Gina is a very talented artist.

Definitely check this distillery out when you're in the area. Mike is both passionate about his craft, and a good host, with good conversation. A wide variety of choices, we particularly enjoyed the rye and the lavender vodka. We bought a bottle of each and have enjoyed them at home. I plan to return and if you have any doubts, shelf them and go!

My wife and I were looking for something to do while we were in Oakhurst, Ca. Our waitress at South Gate Brewery told us we should visit Oakhurst Spirits which is a distillery. Mike the owner, was the best host. His dog was the friendliest dog, very loving. The whiskeys were very good. I really liked the 4 grain. He served my wife a lemonade and lavender vodka. She enjoyed her cocktail. That was smart on Mike's part. We wound up getting the 4 grain and the lavender vodka.

This is a charming business to visit, a great way to break up an active trip with an interesting, laid-back experience. We barely drink; however, we find tastings and learning about the process interesting.
The owner, Mike, is a perfect host. He’s very friendly, happy to share his story of moving from being a hobbyist to owning a distillery. We ordered two of the 4 variety tastings, so between us were able to taste eight different varieties. One set was all whiskies but the other included brandy, gin, rum, and lavender vodka (my favorite).
Mike gave us a tour and then explained the process behind each type as we tasted them. There’s also a lovely patio, which seems a great space for small events.
We were so tired after our day at Yosemite that we almost struck this from our list. But I’m so glad we didn’t. We popped in before heading to dinner and spent about 25 minutes with Mike. It was a memorable addition to our California trip.

We stopped in here because of other reviews on Trip Advisor. We don't drink whiskey or hard liquor but the owner Mike was very hospitable and I had wanted to buy some flavored spirit for a friend who cooks with it. He was knowledgeable about this and helped me pick out a flavored spirit that my friend can use in pie crusts. The place is small and nice and there is an art gallery attached along with a small gift shop.

Whiskey and rum tasting plus there is an amazing art gallery too! Everything is reasonably priced and Mike and Ally are super fun hosts! Definitely worth stopping by!

My Wife Linda, her son Aidan (who is a whisky connoisseur) and me went on a field trip (we live in Clovis) while Aidan was here over Thanksgiving. Had a nice lunch in Bass Lake and on to the serious business of spirit tasting.
Mike (the master distiller and owner) was not only knowledgeable of his craft and products but was well traveled and had food and drink recommendations for about any point in the U.S. (lower 48). Incredibly pleasant to talk with while sampling, had great stories!
As to the spirits- If you like Fireball? Probably don't wanna come here. This is some really good stuff for the people that have acquired a taste for good libations.
The tasting starts with whiskies, white wheat was first- no color at all but great flavor (as it was only a few days out of the still).
Next was Wheat (which had been aged in oak kegs) and it was REALLY good!
THEN the Rye whisky- we brought home a bottle of this one- as all 3 of us said "WOW!" almost in unison!!!
Next was the blended Bourbon- if you like good sippin whiskey, this and the Rye were our picks- your tastes may vary- a bottle of this came home as well :) )
Most people don't consider sipping Rum- right? WRONG! Mike's rum doesn't need Coke mixed in- it stands on it's own!!!
He had two vodkas that were created there, one with a lemon hint and another with a hint of cinnamon (if you're thinkin Fireball you're WAY off- both were SO easy to just sip (no ice) and very pleasant!!!
Not on the menu was his Apple Jack. When you get a pallet of apples what do you do? Turn it into a spirit! He did and it was truly a unique experience!!!
So- the tasting is $15 (you keep the glass regardless- discounted if you buy a bottle to take home)- worth every penny- 1/8 oz X 8= 2oz- would cost you that in a bar for Jack Daniels!
Ally does some great art as well- we were on a mission this trip- plan to go back and peruse her works as well.
Mike will be making some "seasonal blends" leading up to Christmas and New Years.
By all means go and enjoy!!!

Mike and Ally opened this fine place recently and we decided to have a look. Mike is very good at making different types of whiskey, vodka, etc. On their opening night we were able to taste many samples and my wife took home some lemon flavored vodka and some infused whiskey. Mike wife Ally is an artist and they have many of her paintings displayed. She is very talented. We enjoyed our visit there and will come back for sure.
