Arlington has a stunning observation deck and fantastic views. Washington looks spectacular when lit up at night.

Only residents of Arlington, and their guests, are permitted; but it is free. There may be another way, but I don't remember it.

The view says it all, the customer service was great. I did expect a little more for the money. But overall nice.

On a tour to USA involving Washington DC and Virginia. Stayed in some excellent hotels, ate in good restaurants and had many positive experiences. This was a new experience. Opened within the last few years. Staff are wonderful. Views stunning. A really goof simulation of a fly over experience. A worthy addition to the Washington tourist experience

Have just found out this first week of August that the CEB Tower Observation Deck is now only open to Arlington County residents, I believe for free. Although non-residents can get in by being accompanied by an Arlington County resident, 4 guests per resident. This severely limits visitors. It seems they want to encourage private events there rather than lots of visitors from anywhere. A disappointment for sure!

Being an Arlington resident I am fortunate in that I do not have to pay for this. All county families can get in free, and they are willing to consider visiting grandchildren part of the family. The outdoor glass elevator ride is a treat in itself. Both times I went there were not too many visitors so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The views are excellent and being local it was very interesting to see areas I knew well from above.
It should be noted that they have announced they will be changing their hours in a way that suggests that the observation deck will “pivot” to being primarily a private event venue. However they are required by Arlington County to: "“a minimum of 2 days of every week… as well as the 4th of July, the Observation Deck will be open to Arlington residents free of charge.” We will see

Fuldstændig fantastisk udsigt over den amerikanske hovedstad. Så kortfattet kan besøget på Observation Deck beskrives. Man kan via de store panorama-vinduer se utrolig meget af hovedstaden, og det er flot.
Der var ikke mange besøgende, da vi var der, så det er ikke svært at få afgang til de gode udsigter.

As a longtime resident of Virginia, we are always looking for new things to do and add to our must do with visitors list. The Observation Deck is now at the top of our list. Having only been open a year, we love it. What wonderful views of DC and the surrounding area. Entry and ticket purchase is simple; you will be guided to a glass elevator which will travel to the 31st floor. Super friendly and personable, Duane, greeted us at the top. He gave us the lay of the land and showed us how the interactive historical panels works while pointing out areas of interested. Want to go slightly higher, head out on the outdoor deck. Don't forget Hover DC which is part of the experience at no additional cost. Look for the sign and footprints on the DC side for a terrific photo opportunity with your phone, also free of charge. The Observation Deck holds Happy Hour on Friday nights and stays open an extra hour, closing at 9pm. Entry tickets are steeply discounted. You may also find discounted tickets on Groupon, Travel Zoo (what we used) and other discount sites. Find The Observation Deck easily accessible via Metro (immediately right across the street from the Rosslyn Station) or by car. Check out the Observations Decks website for other events and features. Add this to your DC MUST DO LIST. We are already making plans to go back with our family and friends. Well Done Observation Deck!

Yes, it's a great view, but not worth $22. If you get a Happy Hour deal or a Groupon it would be worth it. And Arlington residents only pay $2. But at full price you'll feel ripped off. Try getting the FREE view from the Air Force Memorial.

The views from the observation area are great but I wish there was more outside seating and a lot more area to walk around outside of the observation area. The outside area for seating and outdoor viewing is approximately 50-75 ft wide, seating for 10 people. Indoor fearures plenty of indoor seating, clean restrooms, a bar to get soda, wine, interactive screens to learn of the surrounding areas, a simulation helicopter experience. The price seems high for entrance but you may be able to find discounted tickets as I did.
The only disappointing part of the experience is the lack of outdoor space, otherwise worth experiencing.
