Ik deel mijn enthousiasme graag met bezoekers die Brugge willen ervaren. Ik kan je de ansichtkaart-hoogtepunten laten zien, je de romantische achterafstraatjes laten ontdekken die de lokale bevolking koestert en je een kijkje geven in enkele van de minder ontdekte pareltjes die getuigen van de middeleeuwse geschiedenis. Naast je te helpen de bezienswaardigheden en geluiden van deze fascinerende oude Hanze-stad te verkennen, laat ik je ook graag kennismaken met ons lokale culinaire erfgoed en proef je de relatie van Brugge met bier en chocolade.

You really need to see Bruges with Veerle. She can be hard to find but oh so worth the effort. We were a family of 9 ranging in age from 8 to 75, including our son who needed a wheelchair. She made sure we were all enjoying the tour, often taking us away from the most crowded areas thru secret spaces and pathways and illuminating the history and uniqueness if the space while including our 8 year old with special information he would enjoy. Veerle’s personality is warm and her knowledge and love of her city shines through.

First time in the beautiful city of Bruges, and unfortunately would only be in town for a day and night. I knew a tour was in order and did a little research to see the best options.
Decided to go with Veerle at Walk in Bruges and am very glad I did. She is a great communicator before your tour date giving some tips on weather and shoes to wear etc.
Veerle conveniently meets you at your hotel (or choice of location) to get started- she’s quite knowledgeable and her English is perfect. We saw so much and she put all in perspective and gave great background information. The few hours went by quickly but I really got to see all the highlights and understand what I was viewing. Hands down the smartest way to see the magical city of Bruges.
I most highly recommend contacting Veerle at Walk in Bruges as you personal guide, as the experience is so much more insightful, and sure beats getting lost on medieval streets and fumbling through guidebooks. And Bruges deserves more than one day!

Bruges is really picturesque. It's pretty clean, a great place to site-see. One of my favorite places that I've have visited in Europe. One day I'll go back.

I consider myself a local, I've lived in Bruges for the last 15 years and have criscrossed this city numerous times. I was well aware that there must be hidden gems behind many of the facades. As a birthday present for a friend of mine, also a local, I booked a guided trip with "Walk in Bruges", hoping to uncover some of the cities' secrets. We were not disappointed. The guide (Veerle Vandenhende) took us through quiet streets, away from the bustling centre, inside peaceful almshouses and churches full of treasures nobody knows about. Most of all, we had the impression to listen to someone who really understands the history of the place and is not just rehashing a memorized tale. Much impressed!
