If you are interested in space, astronomy, or maybe you want to see our world and the vastness above us, you have entered through the right door. In the Noordung center, both the history and the present of astronomy and space are presented to you in a well-rounded way.
Along the route of the exhibition, with the help of interactive, virtual aids, you can easily find yourself among the stars, planets, listen to the sounds of the universe and much more. Virtual entry (with extra charge) into space and the space station, where you are virtually placed in weightlessness, is a very special experience that will not leave you indifferent. There is also a helicopter flight over Slovenia. If you have problems with vertigo, altitude sickness or an upset stomach, think about it. I took the risk myself, because the nausea disappears, the memory will remain forever :).
The staff is friendly, ready to help. The price of the basic tour is not high, but the additional payments (if you decide on all of them) add up to a slightly high number in the end.
Suitable for all generations.
They also offer a guided tour.
There is a free parking lot in front of the building.
Definitely a time well spent that will open up new horizons for you. I recommend it.

An amazing experience in the middle of nowhere! Totally unexpected to find this exhibition centre in this small village, charting the history of space exploration from its early beginnings to the present day. There is a lot of reading material which is time consuming and the interactive displays are geared for group (school?) visitors. Small children will find the displays wearing especially if they have short attention spans.

Es war sehr uninformativ und nichts hat richtig funktioniert. Insgesamt total überteuert und Sachen wie VR Brille muss man extra zahlen !!

Center Noordung is unbelievable (positively!). It has really special architecture and excellent exhibitions. Guided tours are amazing, I really learned a lot. The themes of exhibitions are Herman Potočnik Noordung (his life and work), satellites, project Copernicus, Slovenia in space (Slovenian companies that made special products used in space technology), Life in space (here you learn a lot about International Space Station), Moon (this time they had a real Moon rock, also a model of rocket Saturn V and lunar module Eagle), Mars (many models of vehicles on Mars and robot SARA that looks like a spider) and many more! They have many interactive features, for example Room 360, VR Electra, which is a flight simulator, and VR Noordung, which is like a walk through our solar system. They even have a humanoid robot called Vita and you can talk with her. The staff is great and always available for any questions. They also reply fast on e-mails and answer calls. Absolutely worth visiting!

Really nothing special and no added value... As a family with teenagers, we did not enjoy this experience... mostly pictures and some not so special plastic replicates - nothing you can not see or learn on the internet.
3D virtual reality was very poor (as well one of the gadgets did not work), also bad (not clear) info. at the gates/cash register.
Altogether is also quite expensive, considering what you get :(

Situated on country side, you find large building in form of space as was proposed by Hermann Potočnik in later 1920. Inside a guided tour of his life, and work and book that inspired also W. Braun. Lots of items to see, timeline of space race, small Moon rock and Galileo satellite and some Nani satellites. You can also observe Tesla exhibition. A must see for science buffs.

After visiting few space museums in Europe (for example in Moscow) we have decided to visit that one in small village of Vitanje... and were disappointed. To start with, opening hours: only to 3 PM, even during summer time. Poor explanation of examples, very short. Kids (7 and 12 years old) went for VR kids tour - 5-6 min of improvisation with VR glasses, handling planets in “hands” and being lost in space. First reaction is “great”, due to VR effect, but lost after couple of hours. Price performance is rather poor.
So, if you have never been to any space museum - it’s nice to have a quick look and get the first impression + get some info about Slovenian space research pioneer Herman Potocnik. Otherwise, I would recommend to skip it.

This fine architecture is not in Ljubljana. It is a small village north from Celje. Village has two churches and the center. It is like a space ship in the middle of some houses. They have good exhibitions. Tourist offer in the village is poor

KSEVT is one of the most astonishing buildings, I ever visited. And it is more: It is an incredible "Gesamtkunstwerk", build and invented to give respect to the nearly unknown visionary founder of modern space travel Herman Noordung.

A place to honour a Slovenian scientist and his mother. Designed like a space station mostly use for doing shoots or museum . Very small compared to what we see in google photo. But should be watched if can drive an hour plus from Celje
