Was trying to look up a place for a place to wind down for the Friday evening and realized that Shangri-La has live music from 8ish onwards to close. So we headed there, its acoustic live jazz with intermission in between. For the free music, the steep drink prices were justified... ~$18+ for a cocktail and the fact that it was a hotel bar.
Would come here again - didn't have a chance to try their food but had their dessert of Eton Messe.

This is my 2nd time at this bar and absolutely will come back again. Located in the lobby of The Shangri-La Hotel, in Toronto, is hip and chic. People are very well dressed and the high class atmosphere, top flight service make it worth to visit. A great place to cool off or as adult lounge to enjoy a few drinks before going to the next spot. Friday nite crowd with DJ was fantastic for us to stop in for a drink after our dinner at next door restaurant.

I love that the bar changes things up every now and again with their wine lists and live music. The service is exceptional and the ambiance is lovely. Great spot for a glass of wine after the ballet or theatre.

We were staying at the hotel, so actually went to The Bar a couple times. Friday night was VERY busy, but they were able to get us on a big table with some other patrons. Service was a little slow, but it was busy, and some of the drinks the bartenders were making were quite time-consuming! As it got later into the evening, it was less busy, and service was excellent.
Great atmosphere, nice place to 'people watch', and prices were reasonable.
Kudos to the one bartender - can't remember his name, but he was tall, slim, with a shaved head - who really provided excellent service.
Would certainly recommend this place.

Arrived early before they start the live piano music. We sat near the piano and enjoyed the live performance. The service was prompt and courteous. The place is quite popular and the drinks are good, with never ending servings of snacks!

This bar/lounge, located in the lobby of The Shan-Gri-La Hotel, in the heart of downtown Toronto, is hip, always happening on weekends and even has a little jazz band playin live tunes Fri through Sat in the entrance way! Clientelle is well dressed and the drinks are pricey (min $20.00 CAN per cocktail) but the high class atmosphere, top quality service and sophisticated adult crowd make it worth the extra cost. A great place for a first date, or any kind of romantic engagement, or simply effective as a snazzy, adult-centric lounge to enjoy a few pre-drinks before hoppin'to the next spot.

Awesome from the outside, piano player but sat and waited for Service. We waited and waited and finally got up and left. 3:00PM ....no reason.

This is the lobby bar of a high end hotel. The place smells of Febreeze, but worse is the music which is always overly loud and the recent acoustic guitar player was often off key. Hard to have a conversation Just turn the volume down 'cause the room's not that big.

We visited the Shangri-La lobby lounge after dinner. The setting is remarkable and the people watching is excellent. Cocktails and dessert were exceptional. Only minor complaint was the service- a little slow for our liking, and we had to request the dessert menu. Given the quality of the dessert offerings, we felt the menu should be readily accessible. Overall wonderful experience.

This is a cool hangout spot for the locals. It has a sit down bar and númerous other quaint seating areas where one can have drinks with friends or family etc. Many awesome eateries are with in walking distance of this chic stop. A great sushi restaraunt is located just outside.
