We with family went for picnic in last of August 2020.This was a long drive from jaipur and just to go out after covid-19 lock down at home. Nice palace but need to maintain by good governance it can improve best tourist destination in tonk and because there are so much green area and blueish water and surround by green Mountains.Government has recently developed a Fish Acqraium near the Dam and you may also go for vote riding in Dam. This is good place for nature lovers.

I have visited last weekend with my wife after a long drive when we see the this view all the stress of travelling is vanished. This place is really awesome for day outing. You can also order an daal bati lunch on diet basis. But I have some precautions for this place carry sufficient cash because there is very weak mobile network coverage so you can't access internet and online payment option. Also be careful with water and street animals on road even on highway to this route. Overall it is a nice place for day outing from Jaipur and nearby places.

We were staying at the heritage hotel Raj Mahal Palace about 8km below the dam and next to the river Banas - probably the worst place to be with a breaking dam, but we weren't thinking about that. We passed by here on our way to the town of Todaraisingh with its ruined palace and restaured stepwell. En route we stopped at the for this ideally positioned Shiv Mandir temple to have a look at the dam and the expanse of water.
Having seen many dams and artificial lakes before it was mainly an opportunity for me to think about the importance of this particular place: the river Banas, which flows from the Aravalli's near Kumbalgarh only after the monsoon, gets blocked her, not to produce electricity from hydropower, but to supply water to the cities of Jaipur and Ajmer. Before the dam the Banas would have carried its water to the river Chambal and from there to the Yamuna to the Ganges and into the Bay of Bengal. Also I had been reading that lately the water level of the artificial lake had diminished dramatically.

Because of large mountains or hills it was chosen to make a dam, a temple has sprung up or maybe exists before the dam. Due to scanty rainfall very less water in it.

Its bigger than expected. Nice view. Water supplied from here to Jaipur. Quite and not much crowd. Around 160 kms from Jaipur and drive of 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
I don't recommend to travel this long unless a planned itinerary to visit. There are many places less than 50 to 100 kms to visit around Jaipur. An old Shiva temple nearby.
Don't forget to eat Kachori at the footsteps of Shiva temple. Also , if possible, feed monkeys and cows with Jilebi and Kachori. The seem to love them.

It is a vast expanse of water. Soothing to the eyes of those who come from cities where water is made available in limited quantity.

How is the condition of Diggi Malpura to Bisalpur Road, as I used it two years ago when it was in pathetic condition. So is it OK now??

Good day. I am not sure what your question is asking. "What is the condition of those roads"? Or are you asking how to get there? If the former, then i can not answer for i have not used every road connected to these locations, if the latter, then i would suggest Google street view and Google maps.
