The day started off with the pickup being botched. We waited till after pickup time to call in that no one was there.
We were told to look out for a small white bus so ignored the big yellow bus that just turned up.
Was told to call back after 5 mins for further instructions. When we called back we were told we should have got on the yellow bus! They sent the bus back for us and then apologised saying that they had a new booking agent or something. Great start at 7am!
The tour guide was actually really nice and knowledgeable as we did our first two stops.
The second stop was the Japanese gardens where we had 30mins to visit. After the 30 mins was up the driver tried to start the bus but couldn’t - it had broke down.
This then lead to a 2 hour delay whilst they got a recovery team out to the bus to try and fix it. When they couldn’t they then sent for 2 separate smaller buses.
We were then split up into two groups of 20 and we got on on one of the buses. The original tour guide was on the other bus.
This is where the problems began for us. We still had 7 hours on the bus to go and honestly how we’re all not crippled from the lack of suspension on the bus I don’t know! We’ve all got bad backs now from the slamming into pot holes and total lack of any comfort! The original coach was much, much better.
What followed was basically dropping you off at various points to get you to buy things from the places visited (standard tour stuff I know - but when it happens repeatedly it’s annoying).
Macadamia nut farm - absolutely nothing to see here - just a place they try and get you to spend some more tourist dollars.
Coffee place - again nothing to see here just another drop off to spend money and waste a bit of time.
Dole Plantation - nothing really to see there in the time you’re allocated there as the tours/maze can’t be done that quick - so just another drop off to spend money in the gift shop or buying a pineapple flavoured ice cream.
All in all it was a hellishly long almost 12 hour ordeal which given the choice we would absolutely not do again. Absolutely gutted to have wasted a full day out of our weeks stay on the island on this.
In conclusion; Save your money, and your back, and grab a hire car and see the island that way on your own time table.

Our tour guide "Kai" and bus driver "Uncle Mike" were over-the-top fabulous! I would highly recommend this tour! It was worth every penny. Our only regret was not doing this at the beginning of our trip instead of the end. Kai pointed out some of the Beaches and areas I would have returned to.

Kai was our tour director and 'Uncle Mike' was our driver. They were BOTH very nice and very knowledgeable of the Island. They made they tour and we would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Waikiki. This tour was awesome!!

Fun tour of the island with great stops and lots of opportunities to take photos. Our guide, Paul, was great! Very knowledgeable and fun. He gave our group clear information as to how the tour would unfold and on the importance of being back at the bus on time in order to avoid delays due to traffic congestion in certain areas. Those who wanted to go snorkeling were provided with snorkeling gear. Everything went very smoothly. I definitely recommend it!

Just got back from our all day tour of the eastern part of the island. So many things to see and the stories told to us by Jake, our tour guide, were even more interesting. From eating fresh pineapple to whipped pineapple to fried bananas, there was no lack of food. Even all the snacks and drinks available on the bus was a lot. Swimming and snorkelling with the turtles was also a lot of fun. I highly recommend this trip.

The guide and driver are who made this trip! I went with my Mom as a "mother/daughter" trip. I wasn't a big fan of doing a "bus trip" but I was completely surprised! It was our guises first day and he was one of the very few born on Ni'ihau and true native Hawaiian . It was a combination of his "talk story" and the driver getting us to the best spots and knowledge of the island that made this one of the best days off our trip! Highly recommend

Cousin Rosie and Uncle Sonny were amazing guides and hosts. The shuttle was comfortable with soft seats and AC. Provided unlimited snacks and drinks all day. Great way to learn and see the island. Avoided driving in all the traffic. Bonus stop on way home. Awesome day.

We definitely love to surprise our guests with the bonus stop on the way home, but it only can happen if the timing is right. Thank you so much for your feedback on our shuttle as well, we love to keep our guests comfortable.
