The best way to enjoy this amazing route. Don’t hesitate to book it. We had a beautiful 2023 Ford expedition that could easily and safely go off road. Our expert driver, Makana, embodies the Hawaiian spirit of Aloha. He was a welcoming man with a laid back demeanor and is also an expert in Hawaiian history and culture. Great stops along the way and a perfect trip with children.

What a day! First let me say if you're ever interested in doing road to Hana, you gotta do it with Hawaii by Storm. What a great company. It's a private tour with just your party in a new Escalade & they give you a basic itinerary and let you map it out how you want the day to go. We had Mark as our tour guide and he was full of cultural knowledge, extremely easy to talk to, funny, & most importantly a great driver on that road! Here's a few of the pictures of our day seeing beautiful sites, waterfalls, ancient churches, lava tubes, turtles, cows, black sand beach, surfers, BANANA BREAD! (you gotta get the banana bread), chocolate factory, a million 1 lane bridges, rainbow eucalyptus, bamboo forest, & huli huli chicken.

Wow…not sure where to begin! My husband and I with our two grown kids and spouses spent the day with Mana on the road to Hana tour.
The scenery is indescribable and breathtaking….but Mana’s knowledge about the area he knows so well was above expectations!! He not only let you out where you needed to be, once he saw you coming out, here he came with the vehicle so you didn’t have to do anything but load back up. Water, umbrellas, he had everything we needed and made sure we saw everything we wanted to. I’m sure this will be the best experience we have on Maui during our stay. We felt like he was a friend by the end and we all hugged him back at our condo as we said goodbye. Cannot say enough about him and the nice vehicle..absolutely the best!! Thanks, the Mana Kai group!

Our experience with Hawaii by Storm was fantastic. Tom was our guide for the day and went above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly what WE wanted to do. He made it clear that he had a basic plan for the day but that how much or how little we did was all up to us. He stopped lots of places we would not have known about on our own and took a lot of time taking pictures for us. He took several panoramic pictures which ended up being our favorites. We had someone in our group with celiac disease and he even knew where we could get gluten free food for lunch for that family member and yet get different food for others. We never felt rushed and got to see everything we wanted to see. We felt completely safe and were actually relieved that we didn’t have to drive the road ourselves because then we could just look around and enjoy all the scenery. I would highly recommend a private tour because it’s a much more personal experience. We got to know our guide by the end and felt sad to say goodbye. The experience was definitely worth the price and was the highlight of our Maui trip. I would highly recommend Hawaii by Storm and ask for Tom!

Absolutely recommend the epic road to Hana tour! If you want an unforgettable experience in Maui, or in the world in general, this is it! Our tour guide Dustyn has lived in Hawaii his whole life and truly made us feel like family our entire tour. We never wanted our 10 hours together to end! There are other tour companies out there but none could compare to HAWAII BY STORM. Ask for Dustyn. This company is second to none!

Dustyn did not disappoint on this epic all day tour. We loved hearing stories of history of the island and being able to customize our trip according to our interests and physical comfort!! His recommendation for lunch was spot on!! Thanks Dustyn for a memorable day!

The trip hosted by Mana was incredible! He pickup up us promptly at our hotel and the rest of the day was going the "back" way to Hana with stops and Mana telling us about so much about Maui as he drove. The SUV was incredibly comfortable and spacious and he stocked it with plenty of water. I recommend this business for a wonderful memorable experience.

Our Road to Hana was extremely enjoying. Our guide (Makana Eharis) was extremely knowledgeable of the area. His family was raised throughout the areas we visited, and his insight was absolutely appreciated. He knew several stops to visit that we would have missed on our own. Our lunch at the Red Sand beach was extremely good. Gordon Ramsey was right with his review of this place. Makana is a wealth of information and even provided entertainment as we snacked in a Banyan tree. Can't say enough of this excursion. Don't do this on your own, use Hawaii by Storm and request Makana. You will not be sorry that you did.

Dustin was absolutely magnificent. He did EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE to ensure we were comfortable and engaged in our trip to Hana. He went way above and beyond to communicate expectations and maintain satisfaction. He was informative, friendly, and professional. The day was made perfect because of Dustyn. Only the majestic Maui scenery exceeded him.

We went on an amazing 12 day trip to Hawai’i ant the end of July.
The road to Hana tour (w/ Mana) was hands down the best thing we did on a trip that was full of fantastic experiences.
There were 4 of us (my wife and two teenage sons), but I cannot imagine any age or mix of people coming away with an experience less than ours. It is difficult to describe- but the mix of history, culture, scenery, fun facts,
food and jokes- when I think back to the vacation, this is what I remember most.
When I booked the tour, I was a little apprehensive, as the whole trip was not inexpensive, and the tour sounded great, but I wondered if I should really spend the money. If you are on the fence like I was- know that it is very much worth it! It will be THE thing you remember most.
Also, our guide Mana was AMAZING and we met other Stormtrooper guides on the road who all seemed awesome.

I'm curious if you can add stops, or if I'm missing it and maybe you already stop at the Red Sand Beach?
And do you stop at the Venus Pools?
(Waioka Mile Marker 48)- Great spot for cliff jumping
good 5, 10, 20, 30 foot jumps.

If you're booking a private tour you can definitely add stops. I believe we did stop at the Red Sand Beach. Aunty Sandy's Banana Bread is also on the basic itinerary. I don't recall anything about Venus Pools, though.
We have a 5 year old joining us. Does she count as one adult? Right now we have 2 adults with her it makes 3. There wasn't anywhere to indicate children when I booked. I would like to know if there would be room for 3 or 4 more adults/kids. Thank you

The price is the same for up to 6 guests… the cost is for the vehicle whatever you may fit :-)
