This was an amazing experience! The guide was great, very informative, experienced, and friendly. The tour was very organized and on time with everything. Would recommend!

5 , the while experience went smoothly . Kudos to Guatemalan aventures especially Lorenn and Henry our driver . Very helpful AND accomodating to our family request . They took alot of the stress of organizing the flights , and other travel arrangements

Pick up was on time and professional.
Guide was excellent and the tour was amazing!
The return to hotel was professional and right as planned even though the flights were delayed returning.
The morning trip to Tikal was delayed 2 hours and the return flight was delayed 2 hours. Those were the only bad things.

Guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We had plenty of time to explore Tikal. We also had some more time before the flight back to Guatemala so we got to wander around Flores island.

I am still disputing the charges on the booking made with Aviator. Don't use them. Find a different tour. Elizabeth Bell was better and equal in price.

Everything was organized very well, including transfers from and to Antigua, flights, and actual Tikal adventure. Our guide was very intelligent and knowledgeable, and the site experience was outstanding. The ruins and pyramids are magnificent, definitely worth visiting. Lunch was very tasty, with a choice of meat, chicken or vegetarian meal. Strongly recommend this trip!

We were picked up at our hotel (in Antigua, 45km from the airport) at 3:25 am (the guy was actually early!) and got back to the hotel at about 8:30 pm, having walked over 6 miles at Tikal (including climbing numerous stairways including double-digit and triple-digit steps). So you "earn" your sightseeing! That said, it was well worth it. Both air trips on time (one in a 15-seater, one in a 30-seater); friendly and informed guides, with excellent English; the best Mayan ruins we have seen, with a combination of completely restored, partially restored, and not yet unearthed that showed both the glory that was and how the jungle had swallowed it for over 1000 years. If you have any interest in Mayan culture at all, this is a site you do not want to miss, and the hotel to hotel tour we took is a fine way to do it.

I really wanted to visit Tikal but only had a couple of days, so this trip was the perfect solution. Yes, it is expensive but once you’re up there you’ll be glad you decided to do it. The guide was very friendly and a great photographer too. Lunch was pretty good too and there were a few options available.
A little advice: don’t buy the rain capes inside the park, the guide insisted that they were necessary but they weren’t. Also in the shop the guy that sells them said that if we didn’t use it, when we were leaving we could exchange it for something else, Do NOT believe him, he was gone by then, so we left with an unused cape, that luckily only costed 20 quetzals but still a little upsetting!

Our day trip with Guatemalan Adventure was amazing! I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything ran.
We were picked up at our hotel in Antigua at 3:40 AM on the dot by a nice shuttle driver named Kevin. He drove us for about 45 minutes to the Guatemala City Airport, where we had a flight with TAG Air (I believe it's a Guatemalan airline) scheduled for 6:30 AM, departing to Flores. We picked up our tickets at the TAG counter with the voucher they sent us by e-mail. The flight to Flores was only about an hour long or less. When we arrived in Flores, we were greeted at the airport entrance by our tour guide, Senor Lopez, who was holding up a sign with my name on it. We just waited a few minutes for other people joining the tour, and then we were on our way to Tikal by shuttle.
Mr. Lopez was a fantastic tour guide. As soon as we started driving, he began enthusiastically talking about the history of Tikal and the wildlife in the area. He is a passionate bird watcher, so he described in great detail the different species we might see. He definitely knew his stuff, and you could tell he loved his job. There was no question of ours he couldn't answer in detail!
Getting around Tikal isn't easy. You will be walking a LOT. You will be exploring various temples and pyramids, as well as admiring the nature. We saw howler monkeys, spider monkeys, different exotic birds, and many more species with names I don't remember. We were here in July and it was very hot and humid, about 90 degrees F. Definitely check the weather before you go, but if the weather is similar to this I would recommend wearing some good walking shoes (maybe even hiking shoes if possible), shorts, and a tanktop. There was a family with an 8-year-old child in our group, and she seemed to be having some trouble keeping up. Lunch isn't until 2 PM so plan accordingly and be sure to bring snacks. Drinks aren't included in the price, so you will have to purchase your own. However, there are plenty of opportunities to buy water, gatorade, etc. The lunch provided was excellent- we had a choice of chicken, steak, or pork chop. My pork chop came with a chimichurri sauce that was to die for. Or maybe I was so hungry that anything just tasted that much better.
After lunch, we went back in the shuttle which dropped off people at their hotels, or in our case back to the airport. When we returned to Guatemala City the same driver from the morning was waiting there patiently for us. I was amazed how perfectly everything worked out! We had no problems, and it was honestly the perfect tour. I would highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys nature and can walk relatively long distances!

It was amazing to see these ancient ruins in person, it was quite the sight! Our guide was very knowledgeable and had very good English, he was also an avid bird watcher and informed us about the wildlife as well as the Mayans, their ruins and archaeology. There were no problems whatsoever from our hotel to the airport and from the airport to the ruins, and neither did they skimp out on us with lunch, that was good as well. Most definitely worth the trip from Antigua if you are unable to extensively travel about Guatemala.

Depends on your health and physical status.. there are little open van rides within the site so you may not need to walk a couple of miles to get to the main sites. Some walking from one site to another in possibly very warm and humid day is expected.
