Kellen is a wonderful tour guide.
I went on two tours, the West Maui loop and the full Road to Hana tour. Both were incredible and very different from each other, I highly recommend you take two days and tour each side of the island.
The Hana tour was filled with countless waterfalls, sea turtles, sunsets, windy turns, beautiful coastline, lava rocks.
We were able to see white sand, red sand, and black lava rock beaches. We stopped at a local cacao farm and tried fresh cacao fruit and learned about the process from bean to chocolate bar. We sampled soursop and other exotic fruits as well. He pointed out flowers and medicinal plants which was neat to learn about. We swam in waterfalls and beaches. We also visited lava tubes. He provided headlamps so that we could see clearly. Great experience Kellen!
On the West Maui tour, we enjoyed whale-watching, beautiful coastline/beaches, and hike to a gorgeous cliff house. We had amazing fresh fish at a local eatery.
Kellen is a great photographer and will take some if you’d like.
Kellen has bought a luxurious Jeep wagoneer which was very comfortable. I usually get carsick but did not at all in this vehicle. I can’t imagine doing this tour in one of the larger vans without suspension.
I highly recommend this tour!

We took the Road to Hana full tour and our guide Kellen was superb. He asked for our input before the day of and tailored the day tour around what interested our family. We got to see many parts of Maui that we would not have without him. Friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. We are grateful for the experiences we had during our tour. 5 stars all the way!

Kellen, a native of Maui and owner of Local Maui Tours, took my wife and I on a full Hana loop tour including many beautiful waterfalls and beaches. Kellen designed own tour around what was important to us, making sure that we got to see the sea turtles and monk seal, rainbow eucalyptus trees, lava tubes, caves, ocean blowholes and joined us for Huli Huli Hawaiian chicken lunch at a beach park in Hana. He showed us sites that we would never have been able to see on our own (including cliff diving off an amazing waterfall), had an excellent vehicle for the trip and made it truly memorable for us.

We recently did the full Hana loop with Local Maui Tours and had a fantastic time. Kellen was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. We got a week's worth of sights and activities in a day.
We saw lava flows, arid highlands, rain forest, water falls, lava tubes, red sand beach, black sand beach, a lava cave, giant sea turtles, and more beautiful vistas than we can remember. Do yourself a favor and do the full Hana loop with Local Maui Tours, you won't be disappointed.

This was a great tour and great way to experience the Road to Hana. I’ve done the Road to Hana in the past and definitely recommend taking a tour. I learned so much and saw so many sights on this tour. Kellen is super knowledgeable and helpful. He goes above and beyond to make sure you get what you want out of the tour. He’s also a great photographer. We got amazing family pics all captured by Kellen.

If you’re in Maui or thinking’s of island hopping for a day and looking for a tour, Local Maui Tours is a must. We did a one day trip from Oahu to Maui and we are so glad we chose Local Maui Tours. Kellen is such an amazing tour guide. He showed us so many spots on the Road to Hana that we would have missed had we drove ourselves. He is so knowledgeable and makes the experience even better. Not only did my wife & I enjoy the tour but so did our kids (ages 16,14 & 10) and that’s all thanks to Kellen. I highly recommend this tour.

Kellen was the best tour guide for our Road to Hana trip. He took us to the best spots and shops the area had to offer. I highly recommend Local Maui Tours!

My family and I had an outstanding day in the Full Day Hana Loop tour. Kellen gave us interesting information from the perspective of someone who has lived here his whole life. He stopped at interesting shops for locally sourced treats and amazing hikes and points of interest. All along the way he was conversational and easygoing. Highly recommend!!

This is the absolute best tour you can imagine! My wife and I had the time of our lives. A full day of sights, sun, and fun. Kellen is an expert tour guide, and you get the full loop, exploring the backside of the Road to Hana, which is amazing. Since it is a private tour, Kellen customizes your tour to what you enjoy. If you are on the fence regarding a private tour for the Roas to Hana, do not hesitate!

I can’t recommend Local Maui Tours enough! Kellan is a very engaging, friendly & Knowledgable local who will take you to some of the most beautiful spots on the island, many of which you wouldn’t find on your own. We took the Hana road tour & got the opportunity to see the black sand beach, lava tubes, blow holes, local surfing hot spots. We swam in a pool under a water fall, dined at some tasty local food trucks & finished the day looking at sea turtles coming up on shore for their evening nap. It was a wonderful day & would t think twice to do it again on our next trip. If you’re looking for a personable guided tour do NOT pass this one up!
