This is our second set of a full bundle for a Hawaiian Island. This time the program worked much better than the last time. We were able to get the program to work through the car radio using Android Auto. Sometimes the dialog would repeat a few words and sometimes it would cut out but I would say 90% of the time it was a success. My guess is that they don't expect customers to download ALL the tours for this island. We found there was quite a lot of duplication or stories and such to the point that we just skipped 1 full tour and part of another. The price for the bundle is reasonable for what you get and I am still game to use this again for other travels.
***I had trouble downloading the programs on day 1 which was on a weekend. I tried to call in to get the info I needed to get started and because of the early timing and the weekend they were not open yet. We had to delay leaving on our first tour (which was a 8 to 12 hour tour) because I had to wait for them to open so we lost about 2 hours of touring time that day. However, in their defense... it was a weekend and early morning. Once they opened I was able to talk to someone that fixed our issue.

Loved the ability to stop and restart or replay if we missed part of the audio. Having the gps activate as we were approaching an area was great. There were several suggested stops we added to our vacation and resulted in our favorite stops.

The guide was pretty good. We liked the narration and the music. They definitely underestimate the time of each tour. And there were a few times it gave the wrong directions. But overall it’s a great way to see the island on your own with lots of helpful information and local tips.

The code provided would not work and I could get absolutely no help from anyone. We paid for the tours but we’re unable to use them! Don’t but on Trip Advisor.

We played these tours while driving around the Big Island and it was worth every penny. We found beautiful places to stop, discovered Ka'u coffee, grabbed snacks at the Punalu'u Bakery, and learned a lot about the history of Hawaii. It made what would have been a boring drive from Kona to Volcanoes National Park more entertaining. We liked the Big Island tours so much, we purchased the tours for O'ahu as soon as we landed. Because of the O'ahu tours, we found great places to stop to take pictures and even went back to one of the North Shore beaches to go snorkeling.

Years ago, we used a cassette tape guide. It was great. This, not so. Didn't tell u when to turn soon enough. If u missed the turn. It took too long before it told u directions. It's supposed to be integrated into your GPS, It should have been better.

We did the bundle in Oahu and we enjoyed it so much, we bought the Big Island Bundle. It was equally impressive and it was the best companion you could hope for.
My review of the guide is going to be similar to the one I posted about the Oahu bundle. We had a hire car, put the phone on AppleCar, so we could see the map and off we went. Great directions, interesting stories and facts, on routes that made sense and the app worked flawlessly. As you approach the GPS position, the commentary started. You can choose to stop at a point, turn down a road to a point, or go past so you are not slavishly following the guide; unless you want to.
We had no issues with the app at all, I would highly recommend it. Wish all self guided tours were as good

What a waste of time and energy. Spent half a day trying to get it to work. The system was stuck in a loop between audio check and resume tour. The App, in one spot, was trying to give us directions to the coast of Africa. The narrator fades out after one minute. No information of value. Called customer service the following day (they are not open weekends) and he was unable to resolve the issue.

I couldn't really get it to work. I pretty much had to scroll through the different stops and read about them. I was using my iPad for the tour. I connected my iPad to my iPhone's wireless, so maybe that was the problem. Over all it looks pretty good. When I was at home I had previewed the tours and they do sound good. I had a little trouble downloading and making it work, but once I got past that, it looked like it was going to be great. Once we were in Hawaii, if I started a tour, it would just play music and never talk about the stops that we were passing, I finally figured out I could press on each stop and press play and then it would tell me about the stop. I would have liked to just listen to the preview mode, but once you are on the tour, the preview will no longer work. I'd still recommend it. Just use it on your iPhone with cellular service and you should be fine.

This app has transformed our Hawaiian experience. The only issue I have is, with the navigation instructions. It took me forever to figure out how to change the directions of the tour, and how to reset parts of the tour that I didn’t take or wanted to retake. But I would highly recommend going with this tour. It’s funny and informative and a great companion.

We will be traveling and staying for 2 weeks. Is this tour able to be used whenever we want based on our preferred day to go on whichever tour throughout our entire stay?

Hello, I noticed some of the other Big Island tours mention lifetime access but do not see that listed on the full Island tour. If I purchase now and view some of the tours will I still be able to access when we go in May 2020?
