I always read the 1 and 2 star reviews to catch a vibe as to what people complain about. As an American, we can be pretty entitled and spoiled, so seeing a 1 star that just complained about the weather doesn't go far with me.
That being said, the 1 and 2 star reviews were 100% accurate. This is a Spanish tour, and calling it anything more than that is a joke. But the language difference didn't bother me. Here's what did bother me... buckle up.
It should have been a red flag when there was nothing to identify our group from any other group upon arrival. No signage. No company shirts. Nothing. I finally had to ask the only person that was speaking to a group which group I was supposed to be in, and he was able to point me to our guide... staring straight down... at his phone... the while time. This would be a recurring pose for our guide for the next 10 hours.
It should have been a red flag when our guide finally spoke to the group. Which took much longer than it should have. His opening welcome to the group had the vocal energy of unbuttered toast. Granted, I was an actor and speech communications major in college. So these things stick out to me. Perhaps I'm judging him too quickly. I chose to extend grace.
It should have been a red flag when we departed the bus and walked to the entrance of the tour and the guide completely left his group without any communication. We found out this would be par for the course for the next 8 hours.
Then, just like that the other Spanish speaking tours left. Our guide stood in place for about 4 or 5 additional minutes staring at his phone while we stood around him. I finally asked the lady next to me if she thought he had ever given a tour before. She replied "I don't think he's ever been on a tour before." We chuckled.
Then for the next 2 hours we walked through Bruges at what can only be described as an Indy 500 pace. You could stop for pictures if you liked but the guide wouldn't stop or look back. Just staring down at his phone. At this point we were taking bets on whether or not he was Googling the information between stops. It was also fun to learn about lovers Bridge and the Gunpowder tower after we had passed it. But then, just as we had accepted the fact that our tour was as exciting as watching medieval paint dry, he cracked a joke. Just one joke. Enough to make us smile.
Luckily our guide rallied in the second half while we were at Ghent. It was humorous and seemed more interesting. Maybe he was from Ghent. Maybe he hates giving tours of Bruges. Maybe his beloved dog died that morning and he was masking his feelings. We have so many more questions than answers. All we DO know is that both Bruges and Ghent are stunning and beautiful and we are happy we went on the trip.
Next time with a different company.

This activity was booked in English. You shared the bus with the Spanish group, so that is why the information given on the bus was in both languages. But the walking tour of both cities was done in English by one of our professional guides.
Our guides always go with an ID card and an umbrella with the name of the company, so you can identify them.
We are sorry for the inconveniences. Our guides do their best to provide a good expereince of the guided visit. All your comments help us to improve and to increase the quality of our services.

This is a perfect day tour. Bruges is a popular destination, so a lot of big bus tour come to here and all seems to arrive at the same time around 10am at the same bus drop off parking lot at the south of the old city. So it took a while for everyone to finish the restroom break, and then get organized with the headsets distributed and tested.
At 10:40 we started the walking tour toward the old city center. Our guide gave good information along the way, hitting all the sights. The tour ends at the old town square at around 12:50pm. Then we have 3.5hr free time. The end point is perfect as you just generally retrace your step back toward south to revisit any attractions you want to spend time on and finally ends back to the bus stop for pick up. However, given the maze of old town streets, if you didn't do your research and don't have a good map on your phone, you could be lost and don't know how to get back.
Our guide pointed us to a very good soup and panini place next to the square to have a quick lunch, which took 1hr. Then we spend 20min in the sacred blood church, and then started to walk back down south. We spend 1hr in the flemish painting museum, which is the main attraction for me. Then just foods, snacks, shops along the way and back to the bus stop right on time.

Disorganizzazione e scortesia.
Un vero peccato perché i luoghi visitati sono molto belli.
Il luogo di ritrovo non è segnalato in nessun modo,le guide vestono abiti eterogenei e non sono riconoscibili.
La guida parla spagnolo, può anche andare bene ,un minimo di cortesia verso i numerosi partecipanti italiani che hanno chiesto di parlare un poco più lentamente sarebbe opinabile.
Quello che più ci ha turbati è stato il comportamento dell' autista.
Maleducato in modo inverosimile ,ci ha assalito urlando al nostro ritorno sul bus , dicendo che avevamo lasciato delle briciole sul sedile .
Quando gli abbiamo fatto notare che non avevamo consumato alcun cibo sul bus ha continuato ad inveire .
Assolutamente spiacevole.
Consiglio di scegliere altre compagnie ove , cortesia e professionalità saranno presenti.
Inoltre l' autista ha fatto scendere i partecipanti ad una fermata diversa da quella indicata
La guida ormai stanca, non ha salutato i passeggeri né dato indicazioni di sorta

Buenos dÃas. El punto de encuentro está señalizado en la web. El tour lo reservaron en inglés, asà que el guÃa hizo la visita en el idioma que ustedes reservaron y el idioma no puede cambiar porque el resto de participantes espera el tour en ese idioma. Sentimos que la visita no haya cumplido sus expectativas. Nuestros guÃas siempre trabajan para que pasen un dÃa agradable. Un saludo.

Our guide Ana was wonderful! She had lots of information to share and she shared it with lots of cheer and enthusiasm. Ana had great recommendations for restaurants that were not so touristy.
The bus ride was comfortable and I appreciated the tour of Brussels as we made our way out of the city.

Para quem esta indo a primeira vez acredito que valha mt a pena !
Eu comprei o tour em inglês pois não tinha encontrado o tour em espanhol, pois minha esposa não entende mt bem o inglês, e como os grupos foram juntos perguntei a Paula(guia espanhola) se poderÃamos mudar de grupo e ela prontamente aceitou o que mudou completamente a experiência que minha esposa teve, foi muitoo legal da parte dela. O tour é bemm legal mesmo, obrigado Paula e Pablo, vocês foram ótimos!
O único ponto negativo é que eu acho que poderÃamos ficar mais tempo no local, pois chegamos no local por volta das 10h e ficamos com a guia até quase 12:30 e retornamos as 16:30.

This city is a MUST do if you are in Belgium! The tour is full of a lot of information and can be a little lengthy, so wear good shoes and bring a walking stick to lean on if you have trouble standing for long periods of time.

We organised our own tour, went and returned by train from Brussels. This took us the whole day.
Is it possible to take the trip to Bruge on Tuesday and stay overnight then take the Wednesday return bus ride back to Brussles?

Don't think so. Best to ask tour operator. If you want to stay overnight, suggest buying train ticket and heading to Brugge on your own. Might be cheaper than tour.
