Quirky way to explore London - absolutely loved it!

This was a birthday present for my classic car mad husband and he absolutely loved it! Jamie, our tour guide, wasn't only knowledgable about London and showed us the best bits of London that we haven't seen yet, but also patiently answered all of my husband's geeky questions around the Mini fleet itself. Cannot recommend this more - we enjoyed every minute of the tour! We will definitely come back to do the Classic Barock'n'Roll Tour someday.

The Beetles Tour was so fun, we got to see Abbey road and Robert, our guide, was very nice! We played Beetles music the whole time from the car speakers. The owners are very passionate about their business and are very personal throughout the tour. Highly recommend if you what to see London through the eyes of a local.

I love London, and have been to visit many times, but this was my 16 year old niece's first trip. I wanted to make it a magical and truly unforgettable holiday. I had a jam-packed itinerary planned but I wanted to add something extra special and quirky, that neither of us had done before. Then I discovered small car BIG CITY! I emailed the company with a request for a bespoke tour, and the owner Tony replied to me straight away with pricing, options, and suggestions. We booked a tour for last Sunday morning, with pick up from our hotel in Marble Arch. Tony texted me that morning to confirm everything, and he arrived 20 minutes early to collect us. The car he selected for us was Agnes - a dinky green vintage Mini Cooper convertible, and we whizzed around London for 2 hours. Honestly, it was the best craic ever! We went all around the West End, Mayfair, Park Lane, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, Soho, Embankment, Westminster, Downing Street, Bond St., Picadilly, Chinatown, Knightsbridge, Kensington & Trafalgar Square. We stopped in Covent Garden for a stroll and some ice-cream (as it was 34 degrees in London last weekend!).
My nieces all-time favourite movie is Notting Hill, which we had mentioned, so Tony & Agnes brought us there too, specifically to that famous house/door where the paparazzi scene was filmed with Hugh Grant's flat-mate. You know the one!

I cannot recommend this tour company highly enough. I don't like public transport in general, particularly buses, and I certainly didn't want to be stuck in traffic on a packed bus in high season on the hottest day of the year. This was the perfect antidote - Agnes (& all the other vintage mini coopers in the fleet) can whizz in and out of traffic, alleyways and parking spots that made all of the main landmarks in London so accessible in such a short period of time. You can also request a specific drop-off at the end of the tour, so we hopped out at Selfridges in Oxford Street, as we had a lunch reservation on the fabulous rooftop terrace.
We had such an unforgettable day. Thanks again to our wonderfully dapper, accommodating & hilarious tour guide and chauffeur Tony. We'll definitely see you & Agnes again soon, that's for certain!

Best intro to London!

What a fantastic experience touring around the streets of London with our driver and tour guide par excellence, Thom! He took us in Agnes, the classic Mini to see many interesting sights about town. Thom is very knowledgeable, charming and funny. We laughed for 2 hours straight -absolutely loved it! Highly recommend booking a tour, whether you are are new to London, or think you already know it, this tour will offer surprises and great views from the windows and rooftop, and vintage coolness to boot. Great gift to self or others, really good fun, very enlightening. So happy we saw the city in this way! Thank you Thom and Small Car Big City : )

Amazing afternoon with Tom

This was the perfect experience for a day in London that lets you see London like a local. Tom was very knowledgeable and filled us with both an architecture and history lesson. Definitively would recommend to anyone who wants to see London up close and personal.

Surprise Tour for my "petrol head" husband

I booked the Landmarks of London tour as a surprise for my hubby who absolutely loves anything to do with cars. Jamie was right on time and picked us up our hotel. He was so personable and engaging throughout the tour. We had a wonderful time seeing London and learned a lot from Jamie.
I can't recommend this enough! My whole experience with Small Car BIG CITY was fantastic from start to finish. I had emailed some questions prior to booking and they were answered kindly and quickly. Jamie even gave us some great restaurant recommendations for the rest of our stay in London.
If we ever find ourselves in London again, we will definitely spend a couple more hours grinning wide in a mini with Small Car BIG CITY!

The only way to tour London!

I was lucky enough to have previously enjoyed this experience on a work event last year and it was such good fun that I knew I had to take my wife on the same tour one day. What better way to see the familiar (and not so familiar) sights of London than in a classic Mini Cooper with a knowledgeable guide. We visit London regularly and thought we knew much about the capital already but with Robert as our guide we learned so much more and got to see some parts of London that we never knew existed!
You can't help but smile as you whizz through the streets with the roof open and the windows down and seeing the smiles on faces of onlookers as you drive past. Agnes, our Mini, was British Racing Green and absolutely stunning.
I had also planned a little extra surprise for my wife.. at the end of our 2 hour tour we were handed the keys to Agnes and took her off in the Surrey Hills for a 24 hour self-drive hire! To experience driving a classic Mini was just fantastic and something that we will never forget.
I really can't recommend tour enough, unique, exciting and with such a great team of knowledgeable guides it really is the best way to explore London.

Surprise 21st Birthday Mini Convoy

AMAZING – Don’t hesitate – Just book it – This was honestly one of the best days out EVER!

We hired 2 minis to travel in convoy as a 21st Birthday treat, with 6 passengers all with aching faces from smiling at the end of the day! We swapped around several times between cars as Tom and Jamie were so knowledgeable and entertaining that no-one wanted to miss out. They also made a proper fuss of the Birthday Girl which made it even more special, thank you. The real stars of the day however were the cars, Robin & Daisy, beautifully maintained and so much fun to ride in. Everyone treats you like royalty in a mini!

What a wonderful experience, one none of us will ever forget! Thank you smallcarBIGCITY.

SO MUCH FUN!!
So much fun—the cars were so cool and the drivers were so knowledgeable and entertaining. Very unique experience to zip around London in classic cars, listening to Beatles!

We had a wonderful time being driven around London in a classic Mini Cooper, the envy of everyone we passed. We really can't recommend this trip highly enough. From the knowledgeable, funny Tom with his colourful, interesting stories, the secret spots in our capital city to the massive smiles that the very sight of the car draws: old, young, rich or poor, everyone loves a proper Mini. Thank you Tom and the Darling Dorothy, she is a real head turner and you are not so bad yourself. :-D
